Standing Orders of the Vestige
Aestyn Rostonvold
Son of Lordaeron. Scarlet Veteran. Voice of the Crimson Cause.
Sanity died with Lordaeron. What remains is purpose. Spoken at the founding of the cell
- Authority
- Cell Command
- Status

[A sealed parchment, marked in crimson wax. The sigil of the Scarlet Crusade burns faintly upon its surface. As it is opened, the air itself seems to tighten…]
A figure stands before you - unyielding, clad in sanctified crimson and steel. His gaze does not waver. Behind him, the banner of the Crusade hangs heavy. Commander Aestyn Rostonvold does not raise his voice. He does not need to. Authority alone carries his words.
"You will listen. You will remember. And you will obey."
- Aestyn Rostonvold, Commander of the Vestige - Spoken in the future"We are not a rabble. We are not a crowd. We are the blade in the dark."
Established Operations
We run four scheduled RP events per week, each led by a specific officer. You are not required to attend every one, but we ask that every member makes at least two per week - these are the heartbeat of the guild and what keeps the story moving for everyone.
Officers from each branch - Inquisition, Military, Faith - will also run their own smaller events at their own discretion. These might be interrogations, patrols, relic hunts, or personal character storylines. If you want something run for your character specifically, speak to your branch officer.
"Your story is not yours alone. It serves the Crusade." - The cell does not run on private drama. What you do reflects on all of us.Rank Structure
We have streamlined the rank structure. The old "High" prefix on officer titles is gone - we are a hidden sect, not a standing army, and the leaner hierarchy reflects that. Here is how it sits from top to bottom:
- Commander
- Captain
- Inquisitor
- Confessor
- Seneschal
- Lieutenant
- Sergeant
- Templar
- Houndmaster
- Houndsman
- Footman
- Conjurer
- Faithful
- Aspirant
Rank is earned through active participation and good RP - not just time served. Officers can nominate members for promotion at any time. Exceptional roleplay may also earn you a sub-role (e.g. Praetorian Guard to the Commander) or a cosmetic title (e.g. The Brave, Lightforged) that sits alongside your rank. Further sub-rank detail beneath the officer tier will be published once we are up and running.
The Shades
The Shades are a dedicated in-character sub-unit for members interested in espionage, infiltration, and intelligence-focused roleplay. They operate under the Inquisition branch but are open to characters from any background who fit the concept - spies, scouts, agents, informants.
This is not a requirement. Every branch runs its own operations independently. The Shades exist for those who want that specific flavour of RP. The role of the leader of this Shade entity is still being considered. -
Who We Are & Where We Play
The Vestige of Tirisfal is a hidden Scarlet cell - a villainous-leaning, dark RP guild on Argent Dawn EU. We are not the Red Dawn. We are not an open-banner Crusade. We are a small, secretive group rebuilding Scarlet ideology from the shadows through doctrine, military discipline, inquisition, and Brotherhood-style politics.
We form part of the force which infiltrated Fenris Isle and Gilneas City through the use of portals. This concept draws inspiration from established Warcraft lore, particularly the Forsaken Heritage storyline, where portals were used to move forces into contested territories.
Our Guild Neighbourhood acts as our in-character base of operations - a staging ground, safe house, and sanctuary where members can interact freely as Scarlet loyalists without needing to worry about open-world meta-conflict. Outside of it, we operate with appropriate concealment depending on the scene. To help maintain a cohesive and immersive layout, we ask members not to purchase housing plots just yet. We are still establishing the intended purpose and placement of each plot so that the neighbourhood develops naturally and functions as intended.
We are capped at twenty members*. This is deliberate. We want a tight, active group where every character matters - not a roster that balloons and quietly dies.
"We were sent. We did not arrive by chance." - Every character in this guild has a reason to be here. If you join, we want to know that reason and weave it into the story.Moving Beyond the Base
When your character wants to operate outside our established base or a sanctioned location, let your branch officer know first - either in-character or through our Discord. This is not bureaucracy for its own sake. It keeps the guild's story coherent and makes sure your character's movements don't accidentally contradict an ongoing operation.
You are always free to do your own RP. We just ask that it connects back to the cell rather than running entirely parallel to it. This is a group story, not a collection of solo adventures that happen to share a guild tag.
"You do not wander. You are deployed." - Your character is a Scarlet operative. Where they go, what they do, who sees them - that has consequences for all of us.Foundation Event
Our first major guild event - Foundation - takes place this Saturday, 2000–2300 Server Time. This is the in-character moment where the cell formally convenes, members are brought into active standing, and the story begins in earnest.
If you are a pending member or have been accepted but not yet formally introduced, this event is your entry point. Attending Foundation is how your character steps through the door. Sign-ups and further scene details will go out through Discord ahead of the event.
- All accepted members are formally initiated into active standing
- In-character introductions and communications are established between characters
- Your character's personal motive for being here gets its first scene
Uniforms & TRP Profiles
All members need two transmog sets and two TRP profiles. This is a core part of how we play a hidden cell - your character has a public face and a true one, and the gear and profile you show in any given scene should match which one they are presenting.
- Uniform I - Disguise / Blending: Civilian, mercenary, or neutral attire for scenes where your Scarlet allegiance must stay hidden
- Uniform II - True Scarlet Identity: Your full Crusade colours, worn in the base, at musters, and in scenes where the cell operates openly among trusted company
- TRP I - Concealed Persona: The character the outside world is permitted to see - no Scarlet affiliation visible
- TRP II - True Allegiance: Your full dossier, displayed among sworn members
[The Commander's gaze lifts from the scroll. The candles do not waver. Neither does he.]
You have been told what this cell is. You have been told what it requires. The cause does not ask for sentiment - it asks for presence, discipline, and the willingness to carry a flame that the rest of the world has already buried.
The Scarlet Crusade has failed before. It has failed loudly, proudly, and with banners raised. We will not fail that way. We will move quietly, build carefully, and strike only when the time is right.
"We are not many. We are not loud. But we are inevitable."
Serve with purpose - or do not serve at all.
- Aestyn Rostonvold, Commander of the Vestige of TirisfalCharacter Sheet Generator
The Character Sheet Generator is now available for all members to use. This system gives your character a proper stat sheet built around the following attributes:
These stats are used during DM-led events to help decide the outcome of difficult actions, combat moments, risky choices, and character-driven encounters. The aim is not to limit roleplay — you are still encouraged to emote creatively, act in character, and approach situations however your character would. The system simply adds more weight, consequence, and structure when rolls are needed.
Once your sheet is set up, add your HP and ZP values to your TRP profile — ideally in the Currently tab — so DMs can quickly check them during events. Keep these values updated as your character changes, gains points, or adjusts equipment.
